Marching Band Meeting

To start it off, Mr.V invited only the section and squad leaders to the meeting. I hate MB and im quiting band all together if it goes all week long. Not that i'll make a difference to anything. But I already have to go through an hour of it in school, lets take my time out of school? Just what I want to do..not. I didn't even want to join again after 9th grade but my friends were in it - so they talked me into it. The first year was actually really sweet. This year ah it was pretty sweet. But thinking ok only two days a week I can do that, but everyday? Why bother. So im not even putting my input because it doesnt mean that much to me. Yeah - I want to do the senior stuff but cmon, not for the price of everyday - plus my bestfriend quit. Screw band.

1 visnaw is going to do what he wants so it won't really matter what the kids say or think
2. this is his way of weeding out those kids that are not really dedicated ( those who are in sports, drama, or have to work)
3. he still plans on making powderpuff off limits for those in marching band
4.he has no intention on taking the marching band to any more parades or compettions
5.there are more scholarships for sports and drama then there are for music so you are correct in that aspect

1)Thankyou captain obvious. I can still try though. It's not over yet.

2)Just because kids are in sports, drama and have jobs doesn't mean they're not dedicated.

3)You have no idea about what you're talking about with the whole powderpuff thing, because that's not his intentions at all.

No its not over yet and won't be till schedules are done.i didn't mean kids who are in sports aren't dedicated. its just in visnaws eyes that they are not.the kids in sports are the most dedicated because they make everything and have to keep up grades as well. As for powderpuff, he was really upset when the girls went to powderpuff and missed band practice..his intention was for the band kids to be excused from 4 powderpuff practices so they could make band practice. i just hope he's happy when his band is half the size because of this. it may not sound like it but I am on your side.

The only reason girls went to powderpuff instead was because if we wern't there we wouldn't know anything and wouldn't be able to play. That's the only reason I went to PP, and I went for 1/2 and 1/2 of each.

I'd rather have MB 2:30-4 or whatever it is. I think it is much better than 6-9 mon. and wed. First off, it seperates everything, and hour and a half a day after school isn't bad. It is still the same time length as it was before, a total of 6 hours. Plus we aren't on the damn parking lot for 3 hours at a time, only 1.5 hours. And most people with jobs don't start until 5:00 anyway, so you still have an hour afterwards for to go to work. Like Taylor said, you still have winter sports and spring sports to participate in anyway. So i do not see what the big deal is, everyone is just pissed because it wasn't the old way, why doesn't everyone who disagree's with it, just actually think of the good things that are behind the time change, and not the bad things... and the people who were bitching at the meeting, need to grow the fuck up and stop bitching.

Anyone can bitch if they want - I said so. And Your bitching about them bitching. And "grow the f up" im sorry but you can't speed up time and even then people still bitch - deal with it.

Okay, if you knew anything about sports you'd know that YOU CAN'T JUST TRY OUT FOR ANOTHER RANDOM SPORT IN A DIFFERENT SEASON! GOD! Taylor was totally wrong about that. If you know how to play a sport, such as basketball, then you can't just switch and go Ugh, okay i'll go play next season...NO! Sorry! It's volley ball next season! You're the one bitching, in my journal. Get a life. You're quite annoying if you haven't realized it. We're trying to have a controlled debate, not "Grow the fuck up and stop bitching".
