So I was in the direct path of Sandy and haven't had power since Monday night at 10 pm. It just came back on (five nights, four days later) and my apartment can finally be above 56 degrees Fahrenheit. You have no idea how happy my fingers are to feel warmth again.

My computer decided that it NEEDED to upgrade to IE9 (STOP JUDGING ME, I AM STUCK IN MY BROWSER WAYS, GET OFF MY LAWN YOU KIDS) so I wanted to make sure it still could post to LJ and not have it be eaten.
