If you have friends or family in the areas hit by the hurricane and haven't been able to reach them or find out their whereabouts, cnn.com has posted a "safe list" alphabetically by last name. If you go to cnn.com, click the link for "hotlines" Then on the left side of the page is a link "safe list". -
Give blood...
I know that not everyone can afford to make cash donations to the relief effort of the hurricane. Major charitable organizations such as the Salvation Army and the Red Cross are not accepting in-kind donations, things like canned food and clothing. I can't believe I forgot....
Maya lost her first tooth! It was a front bottom tooth. Last Wednesday it was barely loose, mostly just sensitive when biting. Maya played with it and wiggled it so much that it came out Friday night at dress rehearsal. She didn't even care that there was blood, she was so excited. Toby scare....
The last two hours are something I don't want to repeat. I was in the living room working on a blanket that I'm crocheting for Maya. Toby came through dragging something he'd found and I didn't pay a lot of attention. It looked like one of the round wooden chewies that he has. The loveliness of owning a house...:/
Had to have the air conditioning serviced today. The heat worked fine over the winter, and we expected the air would, too. Yesterday was the first day we'd needed to turn it on and it just didn't blow anything out. If you imagined really hard, you could almost feel cool air *leaking* out of the vents.
