July travels

Get a grip part II
Today, both me and Frank noticed a new step forward. Melody grabs hold of things without anyone giving them to her. As I reported earlier, she could hold things for a long(ish) time without letting go. But someone had to give the things to her. Today, though, when I gave her a ring of plastic keys, she held them for a few seconds with her left hand ( Read more... ) -

On Friday, June 23rd, I noticed that Melody could hold on to something for the first time. She has been able to grab hold of my finger for a while now, but until yesterday, she has always let go after a second or two. But yesterday, she held on to my finger for five-ten minutes ( Read more... ) -
Current stats
Yesterday, at BVC (children's health care), Melody was 54 cm tall and weighed 4020 grams. She's growing! :-)
The nurse was even very impressed with how well Melody was moving already. When lying on her stomach, she can already make crawling movements with her legs.
Melody turns 8 weeks old today.

Another step forward
Yesterday, Melody went grocery shopping for the first time. Well, she didn't shop much, except for her formula. She was mostly asleep in the shopping trolley (or cart, if you prefer). Apparently, at some stores, they now have special trolleys with baby seats attached to them. I have never seen them before - but then again, I haven't needed one ( Read more... ) -

BVC appointment
Today we went to BVC again. You might think that we're there very often? You're right. That's our own choice. It feels good to know that she's doing fine, especially since I am not sure exactly how much food she gets, since I still partly breastfeed her ( Read more... )
