Yay for a happy birthday/boo to your bug!

A friend sent me a beautiful purple orchid, which is surviving pretty well ::crosses fingers:: from www.fairflowerfairplants.com, my ex sent me Frank Lampard in a card (this makes me giggle) and I got loads of dosh from my parents.

Cool! The purple orchid sounds gorgeous! I'll cross my fingers for it too. *crosses* Thththth x a million at the Frank Lampard card, too cute! And yay for loads of dosh, always a good thing to have.

Your photos are beautiful and really gave off a good feel for the area. I like the monkey in the fountain one the best!

It's very pretty and very thoughtful of her. I didn't realise that she listened to me banging on about organic/reusable/carbon footprints etc - so I was chuffed to bits that it was a present that I felt good about too :)
I'm glad that you liked the photos. Did you get to Switzerland in your travels? I think it's a lovely place to go to - but complicated with all that changing money :)

You should go back to sleep! It's only 9 a.m. over there. Good heavens! ;) Andrea and Martin are down in San Diego now. Oh, to be there with them! The sun and fun! Last year right around this time we were heading down to Long Beach. Ewwww! Remember that icky cockroach in our hotel room? And I was all laughing and trying to get a photo of it because I AM A FREAK. I wish I was in California RIGHT NOW.

Well, my flatmate is up now so I should probably get up. There is washing to be done - if I can get near the machine :)
I'd enjoy hearing about your travels - but I can understand now that it's been so long. You'll just have to put up with me asking questions like: "Did you get there in your European jet-setting holiday?" :D
I was just thinking about this time last year because when I heard it was Labour Day that made me think of Bumpershoot :)
I remember that cockroach - ewwwww! You were very brave! That hotel was funny ... in a funny way. Remember the SUV too? Heeee.
