Handedness poll

I'm right-handed. I use my right-hand to do most things that require skill or involve reaching, except when I drive I always use my left hand to hold the wheel, regardless of the side of the road I'm driving. So I'm curious - what's your "degree" of handedness?

Another thing that would have been interesting to add is mousing. I prefer wireless mice so I can mouse with either hand to prevent wrist and arm stress. I can't do precise work with my left hand (eg Photoshop) but I can do clicking around on the web, which is the bulk of my time.

Yeah I should have added questions on mousing. I can't do precise work with my left hand either, but I've never bothered using my left hand to control the mouse. Maybe I should try it out some time. :-)

I believe Harry's a right-hander, and I've always thought that Draco would be ambidextrous - some strange Pureblood thing or an odd affectation - perhaps Luuuuuuuucius wanted him as a right-hander but Narcissa was a leftie? so she trained him in secret.

Or... not. But that's what my mind does sometimes. Goes to strange places and draws odd conclusions.

I'm a right-hander m'self, although earlier this year I tried learning to write with my left hand. Quite amusing, I can tell ya, and I think it's a good thing to try - keeps the ol' brain from becoming too bored!

Yeah, when I was in school I half-heartedly tried to train myself to write with my left hand but never really got anywhere. Now I type on keyboard day and night and aren't even writing. :-(

No kidding, eh? :) Keyboards make our handwriting even worse, though. Have you tried to actually write anything lately? Other than shopping lists or so, but.. y'know, we get out of the habit so easily!

As a card-carrying leftie, I can tell you that it's a different world trying to adapt to the right-handed world. I have to make concessions by learning to use scissors right-handed and kitchen tools as well. I have one left-handed spatula that drives everyone in the house crazy. I LOVE to drive in the left lane on multi-lane highways. It just feels correct to me. I like to organize my desk, kitchen, workspace, etc so that the important things I need are acessible on the left. [So obviously no one can find anything except me
