Ever since I got this 2002 PowerMac G4 mirrored-drive door computer from ebay (about 18 months ago, I think) I've had one problem after another. I've tried more RAM, different RAM, a new hard drive and running all the software fixers , all of which helped a little. The kernel panics (Mac equivalent of Blue Screen of Death) are much less frequent. ( Read more... )

 Thirty-one horses, mostly bays with a few grays, just trotted down the left side of Ebury street and turned the corner toward the bus depot! After the two at the front, every pair was one mounted and one unmounted on a rein, until the last two. Maybe park police? I don't remember this happening yesterday, but I might have been taking my shower.

 We're having a great time! Just stepping out of the hotel and seeing all the license plates is fabulous - it feels like being in a James Bond movie. Staying in Belgravia is "lovely". Saturday I saw a Bentley parked in a tiny front driveway (really just a paved car-sized front "yard") during a stroll.

Poor neglected blog. The big "news" is that hubby and I are planning a one week whirlwind trip to the UK next month. We're going to London, with side trips to Suffolk (there's a memorial at an abandoned WWII airfield where my father's bomber group was stationed that we're going to visit) and Portsmouth (to see HMS Mary Rose and HMS Victory).
