My brother in law called last night to share the good news that they are expecting!

And although I am truly super duper mega excited for them, I am a little sad inside.
Not because of jealousy.
But because the choices I have made in my life, didn't help keep me a step ahead of my PCOS problems ( Read more... )

You know, stranger things have happened in the realm of human possibility. In other words..if I can get hit by lightning, you can get pregnant. I wouldn't give up hope if I were you, and I'm glad to see that you haven't.

But start taking care of yourself now.

The Giant Metal Rod incident? I thought we'd be past all that by now, Sarah. I was only having fun with lawn darts and that's the story I'm gonna stick with.

This girl I am car-pooling with has PCOS and is pregnant... so that 30% chance does count for something! And if not, then hopefully you can adopt! Whatever you do, you must raise children, because you are too cool not to!

I was born c-section and the doctors screwed up so bad that they left a bunch scar tissue inside my mother to the point that she could no longer have children. One tubal pregnancy, one miscarriage, a lovely bout with endometriosis and one hysterectomy later they decided to adopt my sister. 12 years after I was born we adopted my sister, who just this last weekend turned 18. She's never felt like anything other than just another family member. LDS Family services just makes the process easier than what we had to go through.

Like yrsuchariot, I actually know a woman that has PCOS and she's had two children.

I'm sure that we could all look back at the things we did or didn't do and want to smack ourselves. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's just you and me...

That is my biggest fear. The risk of miscarriage is so high with PCOS that once you finally are able to conceive it isn't able to happen... somedays I don't feel strong enough.

I don't hold any ill will against adopting, my dad was adopted, so I would actually like to, but I would like to concieve naturally first if I can!

Thanks for the support.

I agree with Stephanie, you are too good of a person not to be a mom! I think that counts for something.

PS...Do you know a good place to get cheap deals on Photoshop and Illustrator? My friend needs some advice.
