so it looks like the school chapter of my life has come to a close. (a long 23 year chapter) and it's kind of bittersweet. i'm excited that i'll be in the "real world" but at the same time nervous. i'll be working and making my own money (although not that much on a resident's stipend), which also means paying bills and repaying student loans. all ( Read more... )

that's really it... i feel like this year will be over in no time. still so much stuff to do. i need to learn to focus (and not farm).

2nd rotation, also in the hospital... i don't think i want to be a clinical pharmacist. too much politics to deal with, doctors have too much pride sometimes. and the patients are too sad... at least when i'm in community, sick ppl come in, but they are not sick enough to be in the hospital ( Read more... )

first week of rotation has gone by. i'm surprised by how much i thought i knew after all those classes, and how little i actually know in real practice. oh well. i guess i will learn a lot from this experience. so many complex patients here - people in comas, with traumatic brain injuries, on ventilators, all kinds of infections and other problems ( Read more... )
