I've been sick with The Worst Cold Of The 21st Century. I'd been slowly dying all week on the couch, and then Naisa came home and took over for me yesterday.....so I promptly got in bed and slept for 22 hours. I'm starting to feel better now. I'm up and about, but my legs start shaking if I stand for more than a few minutes. Christ, I feel like I'm ( Read more... )

How the hell can Naisa be graduating from college this soon? Man, I knew she was smart but not THIS smart. Go Naisa!!!!

You're entitled to have some anxiety :) Just try to keep it at bay. All will go well with the surgery, I'm sure.
How's he been eating lately? Has he gained any weight on his own? I keep thinking that suddenly his system will kick in and he'll gain weight normally and he won't need surgery after all... haha poor guy.

Oh yeah, Tom and I will both be there for the car buy. Since he's the only one with an income, he kinda HAS to be there...;-) But it still sucks....and frankly, we suck at it.

I don't know how even an adequate parent (and you're much better than that) can not feel anxious with a child going into surgery. I hope everything goes smoothly and uneventfully.

Congratulations to Naisa! I'm on her side when it comes to the ceremony. I didn't attend college graduations (undergrad or grad), and never regretted it. I'm encouraging my children to skip the ceremonies, but if they don't I'll attend.

I'm sure the surgery will go fine...it's mainly the after-surgery part that scares me. How much pain will he be in....how long will he be in pain.....how freaked out will he be by seeing a foot long tube sticking straight out of his stomach (even though we'll prepare him ahead of time). There are just so many variables!

I'm with her on the ceremony too. But my mom can never resist a good Kodak moment.....;-)
