For those of you that don't know, Todd and I are formally announcing our engagement today. We have been engaged since Jan 21 of this year.
Date set for July 2010!!!!

ACCEPTED! Department of Homeland Security Internship
I just received word yesterday that I was accepted for the Department of Homeland Security Summer Internship Program. I am very enthusiastic about the project. I'll be staying at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory working on a project called CAMIO: Cultural and Media Influences on Opinion. Should be a fun, yet intellectually engaging project. -
The Plan
We're telling people (other than the few who already know) this Saturday. He's calling up parents and grandparents. Everyone will find out as it becomes available on Facebook.

After a long day of speech-in which I took 3rd in Informative speaking, dinner at In-N-Out Burger "animal style" and "toasted," I came home to a warm hotel to find the following email in regards to my Department of Homeland Security Summer Internship Program Application:

I understand that the registrar's office is very busy and they probably encounter not-too-happy students regularly. However, I believe myself to be a considerate person.
