Oh my gosh how can anyone read this book? (the kite runner) I hate the main character. A lot. And ew it's so disturbing - I'm literally forcing my way through it. As my sister reads Harry Potter. Lovely. AHHH Duke why did you choose such a gross book? I'm only through the first 109 pages... but ahhh I don't think I can handle another 200+. AHHHHH

Oh man, I really liked that book - but I agree, it's totally disturbing and upsetting a lot of the time, but that's what makes it powerful, I think. I guess you just have to take breaks in between and do happy things?
