Week 0: Introduction

Jan 20, 2013 22:53

Fact #1: I am a practicing attorney.

This summer, it occurred to me that I updated my journal so infrequently that many of my LJ friends had no idea how I lived my life. To remedy that situation, I started the 365 Facts series. Every day, I would update my journal with one random fact about myself. The series served a dual purpose: it gave me a ( Read more... )

Sooooooo much love for this post. I love the idea of 365 facts to reboot your journal. (I may try that after Idol, we'll see how it pans out, though if I know me, we'll be lucky to get to 67, lol)

I ALSO do not get zombies. Zombie stories make me sad, depressed and grossed out. I will surely be the first to fall should they rise, because I haven't been keeping up with my running, either.

I ALSO can't roll my tongue. Nor can I whistle. (Can you whistle?)

I also know how it feels to want to crawl into a hole and disappear after your life falls apart. Internet silliness is usually the first thing to go. I hope Idol helps you work through some of it. *hugs*

Do it! I got a couple of other people on board with the facts series. I may very well resume mine after Idol.

Oh gosh. I have to keep up with my running. Maybe I at least have enough random crap in my apartment that I can barricade the doors and hope the zombies don't get in?

I can whistle! I can't do so that loudly, but I can carry a tune on the whistle.

Thanks! *hugs* I have been such a failure at daily life lately. I think I'm making my way back, but I've thought that before only to fall in again.

Whenever I get in a situation like that, I think to myself: This is only the middle. It's not the end, it's a middle. Something is going to come after it and it's going to be better. (I'm actually doing that right now because even though life is pretty great, I don't FEEL very great. So I'm with you.)

My zombie survival plan is to sue them for damages if they try to eat my brain and possibly nail them for unlawful imprisonment too if I end up trapped in a bunker they've surrounded or something. Is this plan acceptable?

Also, IDK *how* many years I was in HE with you before I realized Lily wasn't your real name.

YES. That plan is acceptable. I will represent you. Battery, assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress, and probably some other counts too.

You know, if I ever meet you, I'm just going to ignore your real name and call you Pika.

My friends and I plan to hole up in a Target for the zombie apocalypse. We will play on their sports equipment and drink their chai and it will be great. You're more than welcome to come!

That sounds fun! A Target might be somewhat difficult to defend, but if we get enough people to watch the perimeter, it'll be good. And I love chai tea. :D

My zombie apocalypse plan would consist of rules adopted from the movie Zombieland, namely rule #1 Cardio and rule #2 Double Tap, however, my cardio is in the basement and I'm a horrid shot so the reality of it is that I will likely be one of the first zombies.

Also, I can roll my tongue but cannot whistle. My dogs know this and like to roam the neighborhood when I let them out at 4:00 in the morning and try not to freeze.

And I agree with Laurie and Pen that you are a great friend!

I should see Zombieland. I've been remiss on doing my cardio, though, and I've never held a gun.

Silly dogs. Why do they have to have selective hearing?

Thank you! *hugs*
