Goodbye, my Phantom

I woke up this morning to find my Phantom curled up on his favorite rug. I reached down to pet him only to find he was gone, still warm and soft...but gone. Goodbye, my baby. You gave me fourteen years of love and happiness.

Thank you. He was very spoiled and catered to his whole life. I think he knows he was loved very much.

Oh, Lily, I'm so sorry. I always love your pictures and comments about him, he was clearly an awesome cat.

All who love and are loved meet again. I know he'll find happy ways to occupy his time until you are reunited.

Aww... no... cats. I love them so. Your pictures of Phantom have always reminded me of my first cat Smokey.

I hope it was peaceful, that Phantom wasn't feeling any pain prior.

Thank you. I'd like to think he just went to sleep only to wake somewhere else. He looked just fine curled up on the rug.

Thank you. It has been a terrible shock. He had not been sick or acting in any way different. I'm hoping he just went to sleep and woke in a different place...but, damn it all! It hurts.
