Sorry for not posting anything much recently - I've developed the habit of zonking out on the couch immediately after dinner.

We have ordered the new garage door and are just waiting the schedule the installation. (And finding out when we have to clear 10 feet of space from the garage door...)

We're finally going to replace our old garage door with a rollup door with a clicker! We've been wanting to replace that door almost since we moved in... I have a lot of trouble opening and closing the door by myself. It'll be so nice to just be able to touch a button!

I haven't posted any church-related stuff recently, and I thought I'd let everyone know how visiting other churches has been going. I'll take it week by week.

My computer has been sick for a while - a virus snuck past its defenses - but now it's back up and running. Thank goodness! (And the wonderful husband who fixed it!)

In other news, Rick got the second stripe on his sash in Kung Fu today! We're very proud of how much he's learning, and how quickly he's picking it up! What a munchkin!

My mom came for a visit last weekend. It was wonderful to see her! It'd been almost two years - much, much too long. We went to the zoo, had a nice Easter with her and my brother and nieces, went to Ikea, and generally hung out and had a good time. Thanks for coming, Mom ( Read more... )

Rick has to write a sentence (at least) every week and share it with his class on Fridays. Parents are NOT allowed to assist with spelling. Since tomorrow is April Fools' Day, he chose to write down a joke. Here it is, as written:

I took today and tomorrow off to stay at home, so I could put together all our receipts for the assorted personal property we've replaced. We have another couple of months to submit everything for reimbursement. We already received a very substantial check but this is for the balance.
