Vote or die

It's been a while since I've regaled you with stuff that doesn't matter, so here's some accumulated stuff that doesn't matter in no particular order of unimportance:

I just can't freaking wait for this American election to be over already and even though my exposure has been very limited, it's still been painful and I feel exactly like this kid:

"I am at the extreme other end of the spectrum of everything the Republican party stands for, and yet I hope for their election just to spite a jerkwad."

HAHAHAHA! You are great. :)

You handle your son's stint in Taiwan very, very well.

I'd probably call the consulate and tell them he left his medication at home and needed to be rounded up, detained, and shipped home ASAP....and that because he forgot his medicine, they should not listen to him rave about his crazy mother at home. =\

I am stunned that I hadn't already thought of a deceptive mental illness claim!

High five!

Possibly Insane Person? Positively Insubordinate Personality? Perennial Intolerable Pessimist?

Yes.

Any or all of the above. You are entitled, not in the born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-your-mouth kind of way, but in a hip-checked-into-this-state-of-mind-by-circumstances way.

Yeah, it sort of feels that way.

I commented last night that it must be wonderful to be a musician because I have never known one that was anything other than a happy and mellow optimist.

I wonder what that's like.

I'd love to see a Republican asshat get elected, run the country into the ground just for the backlash. Except there wouldn't be one. Republicans are more militant these days and Democrats sat back & let 'em get away with far too much, and even if the country was in a shambles, the Elephants wouldn't see &acknowledge who was really responsible, just continue to blame gays, unions, fluouridated water, sliced bread & Sesame Street for their land's ills, as they have since 1970...

I liked the suggestion I saw where you could register to vote early and once you voted your cable/TV company stops serving you election related advertising. I know there world doesn't actually work like that but lets not let that spoil a great idea!
