Aww!

I don't even know what else to say about this. 'Aww' just about sums it up.

I love this little slice of their former life. It's deceptively normal, yet it isn't at all.

It's about as normal as they're going to get, under their circumstances and with their personalities. I enjoyed making Koschei the romantic in this fic. In his mind he's the "normal" one of the pair, but if he's normal, then there's clearly something wrong.

Awh. Yes. Still heartbreaking and lovely for a lot of reasons that I'll probably be rubbish at trying to explain.

I love that Koschei is a more attentive, carrying parent. He does crave attention and having someone completely dependent on him, like a child, would probably be right up his alley

That last bit is just gorgeous, like chocolate.

Also, the light touches of humor kept it from killing me completely. No rent control on Gallifrey, of course! And I love Susan as an alien, exotic name. I hope she didn't get teased. XD

Now, I need to go have a tea and cuddle your Koschei.

My Koschei needs a cuddle quite badly, I'm thinking. We were working on vignettes in creative writing class today; no wonder this story came out bass-ackwards and strange besides. But somehow satisfying.

I'd love to write more about Ari and Koshei sometime. Baby!fic used to be my favourite thing in the world to write. A thing that looks like the Doctor but loves him unconditionally must be terribly precious.

Can you imagine paying rent in Gallifrey? You'd have to be a homeowner or lose every penny you make. And Susan, well, she's Susan. <3

There are so many gorgeous little things about this - the green stones that might be eggs, the birds, the infant rolling in the red grass and chewing on his father's ring, the robes that are just a little bit alive ... i could go on and on. Love it. <3<3<3

Memory is really just flashes of life. Put together, it forms a picture not dissimilar to this. It's funny, how we remember backwards and live forwards. Thank you for reading.

My favorite bit about this story is the way it starts at the end winds backwards to the beginning. A really lovely, really interesting little peak into what their early life might have been like. A lot of things ring true for me, but especially the idea that Koschei would be the more attentive parent because he craved that feeling of being needed, and the difficulty Koschei has in accepting the Doctor's name. *goes and reads again*

A couple things in this were drawn from my personal canon, and the rest was born from what fit into the story. I rather feel that it took the Master a longer time to decide upon his name, considering the way Three first talks about him. And I love the idea of Koschei being the more focused parent right away, while Theta is just trying to figure it out by the time Susan comes around.

Thank you for reading!
