Roman Elegy (Kirk/McCoy, NC-17) Happy Birthday, sangueuk!

Mar 23, 2010 13:13

To sangueuk , the brilliant and beautiful, a wonderful birthday and hopes for many more and better. As a friend of mine once said, "You're never really old, as long as you have a mental age of 12" (although in your case we better make it 18 so it's legal in all states ;) ).

A humble offering, neither as good or as smutty as you deserve, but with at least ( Read more... )

Thank you so much, my dear. It was a lovely weekend but it turned cold and wet, so I'm dreaming of blue skies...

Gah, I love this so much. So many intimate little details, like the spot where Bones likes to rest his hand, and the way he takes care to not let Jim work up a sweat because he'll get cold walking home. ♥ And I love the gentle way they negotiate their relationship, the little allowances and indulgences and compromises.

Can you just write these two forever? Please? :-)

You're so very sweet ♥ Yes, that's why I love 'em.

I can't promise forever, but I'm pretty much a one-fandom girl, so...yeah.

Thank you, bb! I can’t believe you wrote this for me! I’m so damned lucky!

You know me so well, and yes, it included so many details that just made me wibble. I could smell the Italian night and you really made it come alive with the wine and the cooling evening air. I’ve always wanted to have these two in Italy and now I can die happy.

How I’ve missed your writing, your insights, your amazing dialogue and humour and perfect characterisation of these two where, whether they’re just eating dinner or saving the universe again, it’s just them and we never forget the qualities that make us love them.

So many parts I adored:

the Coliseum, where Jim had described, very seriously and at some length, how he would have fought a lion. yes, he would! Lol!

“Like the sailors of old. Except we don’t get to leave our sweethearts behind.” *sighs happily*

“You?” Jim whispered, amazed and delighted. “You don’t do this ( ... )

I'm SO glad you liked it--I only wish I'd had time to make it more philosophical, not to mention more porny.

I really don't think I'd be doing this if it weren't for you, so--there.

It was perfect! It's actually been kind of haunting me all day. It killed me having them in Rome. I kept imagining Jim acting out his 'fight' with the lion and the indulgent look on Bones' face. And I may have thought about the sexin' once or twice. *cough* Thank you again - I'm going to re-read this many times.

*hugs*
