I love that when the sun came on Q was in Tellarite form, there was a lot of dramatic build up and then a shot of humor injected. I love how your scenes are always just right never too much of one emotion. This was amazing, as always.

You are very kind! I think that's why Q worked so well in TNG to begin with: it's fun have a random, chaotic spirit, and he played off srs Jean-Luc so very well.

This was wonderful! I love that it took a group effort, and that we got a glimpse (so to speak) of the rest of the crew as well. Jim is such a GOOD captain, so clever and considerate. I love the way he took care of Bones.

Also, I think I might be incorporating Eagle Scout Sulu into my head canon, because I can see it and it's adorable.

I really think Sulu is one of those effortless overachievers--he does all this stuff because he can, not because he feels the need to prove anything.

It would be my personal dream to have more competent!Kirk in the next movie, and less dangling off ledges, but I think I know which is more likely to happen.

Well, it may not mean much coming from a strictly non-science person, but your explanations of how things worked seemed perfectly plausible. The way the crew just adapted to the dark was just lovely-- really a boost in the belief of the human (and alien humanoid) spirit.
