Not my house, not my birds

I'm house-sitting for a friend, a big, airy house with a big, lush garden - and two tiny, noisy birds. Taking care of somebody else's house is strange. Nothing is familiar and still a lot is as you would've had it, were it your own house. Ahhh yes, the happy talkative birds. If you can't cover them over at night, they DO tend to get up hideously early in the morning. I'm ever so glad that my Cody is easy to get into his cage at night - easier than Ms Beak - because 5am wakeups to his calls would be horrible.

It was horrible. But the the evening after I tricked them into the cage they went into it of their own accord and sat, patiently waiting for me to close the cage and cover them. They are wicked clever, let me tell you!
