Well, if you can't accept being BRAVE, hopefully you can accept being STRONG, because it seems to me that experience like this is what makes us STRONG as humans.

Also, your writing makes me cry ALL THE TIME. You have such a gift and are a beautiful person. Just thought you might want to know.

one of my best friends had/has? scoliosis. i remember when i first met her when i was eight or nine she always had a back-brace on. when i went to toronto last year i got her a key-chain from the science center that was a spinalcord. i didn't even remember i just thought it looked cool.

i read a book once where the main character noticed that everybody he saw only looked a few feet in front and around themselves. he said that people are afraid to look beyand their own space. one person who i know looks beyand that is my friend jen who had the same condition that you have because hwe back brace forced her to keep her head up and back straight. she's one of the smartest/wisest people i know. i mean, i know it's a bunch of different things that made her that way, but after i read that book it made sence that she is the way she is.
