It's starting to sink in that in about a month I'll be headed to Kuwait.  I may never come back to this town, except to pick up my cats.  I may move somewhere else completely as soon as I get back.

I may never see some of my local friends again.

I'm not ready for it.  But I'm not sure if I ever will be ready.

Why is this? Why would you move somewhere as soon as you come back? Do you know how long you'll be gone for?

I'll be gone for 6-8 months. But I will either change my station or get out of the army when I get back. So I see maybe 2 or 3 more months here when I get back.
