Обычно же принято транскрипции давать. Чисто из уважения к читателю, не говоря уж про махание PhD статусом, который тоже к чему-то обязвает - к какому-то минимуму по оформлению.

Hm, for some reason I always thought the word "better" has a persian root, see in persian we have the word : به (beh) which means good. And to make it comparative, we add "tar (-er in eng)" so beh + tar = behtar.
But I don't know how khosh became beh. We barely use any of these words nowadays, and instead we say خوب (khoob) which I thought came from Good.
