Wild, Insane Harry Potter Speculation

Jun 14, 2005 21:54

Random speculating, etc. re: Harry Potter series. May or may not be at all important to the book series, and possibly completely and totally off the mark, but:

Was Dumbledore a Slytherin? )

harry potter, slytherin, houses, dumbledore

Sweetie. Re-read the first book. Hermione states that Dumbledore was in Gryfindor. That was one of her reasons for wanting to be in Gryfindor. Sorry babe. Cool theory, but no. Oh, and about your party. I thought it was on the 18 not the tenth. I am soo sorry.

Actually, she says she "heard" that's what house he was in, but there's no definite answer.

It's too bad about the party--we'll have to get together some other time this summer. I'll keep you posted :D

Well, Dumbledore does seem to display a lot of characteristics common to Slytherins, what with the spying and sneakiness and all. However, esmegm is right, it is said that Dumbledore is from Gryffindor ( ... )

O.o
Hm...now that you're drawing parallels..maybe Harry's Dumbledore's like grandson or something, and the Slytherin-like qualities skipped over Harry's mother/father, (whoever Dumbledore's related to) and just went to Harry. (Like the genetics of pea plants experiment Mendle did where things skipped generations :p)

Anyway, just a theory response

Interesting theory...we'll have to see! I'll give you chocolate if you're right! :-p
You're right though, it'd be cool to see happen.
