The ABA was in Los Angeles a week or so ago, and mom's friends came to town because they always attend (having a nice little bookshop of their very own in Sonoma.) This time they took her with them -- she's entertaining the idea of opening a small bookstore with a 'soup kitchen' attached. Finding a gem of a book is always so lovely, especially when you didn't expect it! I think, for me, the long title would have put me off somewhat, but I'll add it to my mental list for when I'm browsing the bookshop next time :)

The absurd title wouldn't have appealed to me either, and if I hadn't recently been collaborating on an epistolary story, I wouldn't have given it a try. However, I'm very, very glad I did.

It doesn't come out until the end of July, but it's well worth the read.

At least you have until the end of July before it's released; so you can polish off a few on your list, and then dive into this one.
