Done ... and Done

It's finished and submitted, and I have confirmation. My hands hurt from all the typing, editing, revising, tweaking, and polishing. Having said that, it's eight hundred words shy of the max allowable word-count ( Read more... )

Bunney, you're awake! ::glomps you::

I won't hear until the end of the month. With a thousand stories to evaluate, I'm not surprised, and I'd rather they take their time than rush it.

Thanks, though for the kind thoughts.

It was longer than me, it seems. I was very tired last night.

I'm better today!

So, while it was already your birthday last night ... in your time zone, I didn't even realize it until now.

So ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY dearest Krissy!

I'm hoping the rank is high enough that I won't be embarrassed to talk about it. That is the worst fear, after all; that after all this time, practice, and learning, I haven't even learned enough to make it professional ( ... )

Thank you, and I know. Me, too.

I'm sending them an email to let them know why I'm giving my money to someone else in the future.

Good idea. Though I've heard they're calling it a 'glitch' now...

What's up with Amazon? I've not heard anything.

Thanks so much.

Amazon has really stepped in the pile of their own making. They've removed the sales rank figures from books on Amazon.com containing sexual, erotic, romantic, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or queer content, rendering them impossible to find through basic search functions. Titles stripped of their sales rankings include “Bastard Out of Carolina,” “Lady Chatterly’s Lover,” several romance novels, GLBTQ fiction novels, YA books, and narratives about gay people.

Their PR statement has been that it was a 'glitch' in the system, but the reality is that it's an actual policy they instituted in February. Accordingly, "Brokeback Mountain" should fall under this category, but as it's terribly popular it doesn't.

Not only has Amazon censored their available titles, they're hypocrites too.
