Another Winter

It's interesting that I've been busier these last six months than in the last year, and not on my own professional/creative growth. Both sons are now living at home and attending college/art school. I never appreciated how much they actually did toward the day-to-day functioning of our lives, and I've been the one to pick up the slack ( Read more... )

Adjustment periods suck, but eventually they even out, especially if you're able to delegate some of the slack you're picking up at present. Here's hoping the new year brings you productivity, growth, and many many many wonderful words!

You're so right about the 'suck' part; although there's been a lot of good in it too. Even as my time is at such a premium, it's heartening to see both sons doing so extremely well.

Fortunately we share the family's malamute between us -- although they both keep begging for another one. I'm not sure we'll ever get another puppy though. They're exhausting!
