Rodney is such a unique kind of hero - scared, unsure, a little on the fumbling side but so determined. You do a great job of showing all that here in all its incarnations (oh, four). I love that Rodney makes minions out of the local children, I love that he plays off the flashbang with his own minions. Most of all, I love the teaminess at the end. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, you described Rodney's brand of heroism so well! Scared, unsure, a little on the fumbling side but so determined. I love that! Andf I completely agree.

Thank you. I'm glad you liked the fic. Number four... I know. Hopefully I made up for that angst with the teamy end. :)

Here via stargategenrec. Liked this! Rodney *would* get into paintball for uber-smores. And I particularly liked the parallel between #1 and #5; you nicely highlighted both Rodney's development and the team's as a whole.

“He just had an epiphany.’

Ronon looked at him over his shoulder. “There’s usually more yelling.”

*So* spot-on, that!
