Day 8: The egg is exhibiting minor movements, but no signs of cracks are present in the egg. It is still unclear when it will come out. I will continue to keep the egg under watch, despite lacking a proper incubator.

[ A pause. ] Breeding here doesn't really make sense. Some Pokémon lay eggs half their own size.

[ Eevees in particular come to mind. The mental image of them laying impossibly big eggs is not exactly pleasant. ]

From what I understand, that seems to be the case. Full-grown adults hatching from small eggs. I don't think I can ever conceive how that is possible.

For being trapped in this messed up place and just told to take care of animals, like a zoo-keeper, I feel I have every right to ask questions if I don't know something.

I'm pretty much positive that even the "Breeders" here couldn't explain to you how it works. It is just one of Johto's many mysteries.

It just makes that little sense! Though I'm sure it would be kind of funny to ask every breeder you meet how it works, since they would fumble around trying to explain it yet fall flat...
