Lionel might blame his newly aquired tentative spot on the Times for the trip he's taking out to dinosaur area, but that would be lying. (Well, to a point.) After the initial shock and disbelief, he's mostly just curious about the chance of actually seeing dinosaurs. Getting to take pictures of them as proof is just a plus ( Read more... )

"Kate made me touch them the last time I was out here," Jack says as they walk along the beach, his sunglasses sliding down the tip of his nose every time he looks down at the sand. It's probably because they're from the box, but they're sort of cool in a Tom Cruise in Risky Business kind of way, so he wears them anyway, even though they don't fit.

"I think that's what they're called," Lionel replies, biting back his smile. It's not like he really knows better or has experience -- no one he knows really does when it comes to dinosaurs. Besides, he'd been reading one of those picture books for kids the bookshelf gave him recently and that only gives Jack a slight advantage of him.
