I got a haircut today.
I wanted about 7 inches off, so we did a rough cut before she washed my hair, just below the waistband of my "ultra low rise" jeans.
after she was done it was to the middle of my waistband.
when it dried, it was like 3 inches above my waistband. I didn't take into account how much my hair would wave without the extra weight.

It's weird, isn't it? But I actually started to really like mine after a while, getting rid of all the dead ends and crap. Makes it so much easier to deal with.

it takes some getting used to, but it looks and feels so much better
