Most of the interests are connected in some way or another - mostly because of a habit that developed fairly early on that is to retreat to fantasy worlds when I need to get away from my own life for a while.

Fantasy led to history. History led to Renaissance Faires. Renaissance Faires led to sewing/costuming.

The archery, though. That part is most definitely new. But my friend did allow me to shoot one of his longbows (albeit one with a low draw weight) which was its own kind of awesome.
