Supernatural

So, my husband started watching Supernatural on Netflix, and managed to get through the entire first seven seasons in 36 days. And now he's anxious for me to watch the show so we can discuss it. So last night I decided to start. I...probably should have waited for a night when he was not at work.

Ok, first impressions after watching the first episode )

Ha, I know what you mean. I made the mistake of watching the first ep when I was alone in the house, it was 3am and the heating was making weird noises at me! Horror films don't bother me in the slightest, but I was looking over my shoulder the whole time with that ep and had to switch extra lights on part way through!

I am so glad I'm not alone in reacting that way!! My son came into the room at one point, and I didn't hear him and when he touched my shoulder, I almost flew out of my skin it startled me so badly.

When Supernatural first started, I was still in my teens and I've always had such an overactive imagination, so I know what you mean about it being creepy. XD If you continue to watch the show (and I recommend it because it is a good show and plus, S4 means CASTIEL), my advice would to watch it while the sun is still up if you can help it.

Once you get out past the first two seasons, you'll be fine, I think. Those are really the super creepy ones. :)

I'm definitely going to keep watching, but I'm going to restrict my viewing times to either during the day on Saturdays, or on evenings when I have someone home with me!

Yay! :D

This is one of my favorite pilot episodes of any show. It's rare that I see the first episode of a show and feel so immediately hooked. The more recent seasons aren't really very scary at all any more, and if I'm honest, I miss that aspect of the show a lot. The first three seasons will always be my favorites, I think <3

I'm definitely looking forward to watching more, but it's going to have to be when I'm not so alone in the house in the dark, LOL.

I don't blame you, in the grand scheme of scary episodes of Supernatural, the pilot wasn't the scariest >_____> XD Husband/daylight will definitely help!

I always get so jealous of people starting to watch Supernatural. I'm not a fan of the latest seasons and I miss the first few and I loved them so much. And yeah, I still sometimes re-watch them, but I remember how great it was to see them for the first time and I envy everyone who's doing it XD I hope you will have at least as much fun with it as I did ;D

As for creepiness... Well, I love creepy shows. When I got Supernatural episodes from a friend I didn't have a working computer and only a DVD playes + TV in my parents room. Obviously they didn't want to let me just sit there and watch a show for the whole day (and I wanted to watch as many eps as I could at once, especially since I was stuck at home then anyway). So I took the TV and a DVD player in the evenings and spent the night watching the whole season. In the dark, in my room, all alone. Good times. XD I love being crept out by a good show XD

I watched the first four seasons of Supernatural on my own (and gobbled through them like they were going out of style), and then started watching with Jer which meant I had to wait around for him to be home and not in the middle of homework to watch the last three. Now we're watching back through them from the start together, and just hit season two. :)

It really is amusing, though, what a baby Sam is in the first season. I ended up on tumblr after a first season episode and there was a gif from this last season, and the difference is just staggering.
