Giant Flying Cockroach from Hell

So, last night I couldn't sleep so I went into the guest bedroom to read and I had just settled in when I looked up to the ceiling and there was a giant cockroach. Huge cockroach. Must have been at least 3 inches long and very fat. And then, to make matters even worse, it FLEW over to the window! I freaked and ran out of the room. How

I completely understand the giant bug problem! Last summer, we had a bit of a population explosion in house centipedes. [All parts of North America have them, but I find the Ontario version particularly ugly.] Erik and I were living in a basement at the time, so there were a few weeks when I would get up, get dressed, and take the bus to work and use the bathroom there, because I was too afraid to go into our bathroom (couldn't use upstairs one because it would wake up Brad). I was scared all the time. It was pure hell. I hope you find your cockroach!
