How many people are looking for that perfect chocolate chip chookie recipe? It's a very important thing if you are to keep your loved ones happy. Michael loves it when I make cookies. The other day I made a batch for our visitors D & A. A commented that she really liked them, so I gave her the recipe (which I had gotten from my mother-in-law... ( Read more... )

I love cookies. So much. Last Xmas, Q's ma gave me a Jean Pare cookbook dedicated entirely to cookies. It's almost overwhelming.

I didn't know you were back on here... see, everyone's changing their names and confusing me. I'm so glad to have found you. You should send me a copy of your favorite cookie recipes...I love cookies too. Even more, I love making cookies.

K-billy: I seem to recall some great cookies you offered us 'round Christmas time. They were boob-grabbingly good.

"boob grabbing good"?! Haha, oh my.

Okay, so I tried the recipe the day after we got back. I did a shake shake instead of the full tsp thinking that must have been the secret to how good yours were. But alas, mine weren't nearly as good as yours! They were kind of flat and I couldn't get the doneness right... they were still pretty good though. I think my oven is hotter than yours. I don't know. I think I might just be bad at making chocolate chip cookies.

Next time I'll try more salt.

So, I'm thinking that if/when any of us ever live in the same town again, we should have a once a month or a once a week cookie baking evening. We would bake a couple of batches (at least), with one being a time and tested favorite, and the other being something we've never baked before. Then we would split it two (or three) ways, and our husbands would be happy. Or, maybe next time you guys are in Saskabush, we can bake cookies in my kitchen.

I like baking with people. Sometimes le Q bakes/cooks with me (or I bake/cook with him), but he is a little bossy, and thinks he knows everything about everything. Normally he beats me in the knowledge factor, but when it comes to baking, music theory, or crocheting, I kick his ass!

I like that idea! It can be a club. A club called The Baking Buddies.

I'm so in. Where do I sign up? I want cookies.

A: I'm sorry to hear about the cookie problem...I'm sure they were equally good though. Did you use real butter? and was it at room temperature? I read in Betty Crocker that if the butter is too soft that the cookies go flat...
