Then ending and the alternate ending were both great. The second one added some realism to their (OT4's) situation and I enjoyed the history lesson scene. Yeah, I you will, little Mark. I bet you will. :D

Aww, no problem love. I mean I felt cheesy leaving it, but it was meant to be a good thing so I went with it. I suppose I could go on and on about why I really enjoyed your piece but it felt more important to get the feeling across that I quite enjoyed it in the first place. Your characterization of everybody was wonderful; the relationship between Mark and Eduardo seemed to grow so naturally. Ditto for the friendship that develops between the 4 of them, and the strength of that friendship really comes through in every line. I also liked how you didn't vilify Eduardo's father and actually fleshed out his character. And as others have already commented on, your depiction of the war and the scars it leaves (physical and mental) was very powerful.

I love the plot and the part about Sean made me want to hide in a corner and the language is absolutely beautiful and I love love love how the style is appropriate for World War 1. And the way you described the war made me want to go hide in a corner (again).
