On this fair warm September afternoon, Captain Jack Sparrow can be found walking very slowly through town with a bunch of colorful floating balloons in his hand and a thick sheaf of papers under his arm.
[And Jack will stare back like this until it is obviously an awkward moment but he sort of lives for those and damn it, Kennedy, you were injured and he had to find out through Jilly and SAY SOMETHING, man.]
[Aye, Hiccup: Jack is, as always, annoyingly interested in Toothless.]
I'd wondered, you see, if he might one day give my Annie and myself a ride. A romantical ride through the crispening autumn breezes. For now, though, I'm on a bit of a quest. My little pet is lost, you see. Hector. He's gone missing.
Haven't you had enough trouble with balloons lately?
[The colourful bobbing helium-sacks were easily to follow from a distance away. He had maintained the distance as he followed them around the item shop, and now stands about ten feet back from the river, arms crossed.]
[Jack opens his eyes immediately at that voice. Norrington. He hasn't spoken to the Admiral since the other man visited his hospital tent back on that island during the draft. Unpleasant words were spoken. Accusations were accused accusingly. Fierce pirate captain pride had been yanked forcibly out of the pirate's gullet and dressed like a little girl and paraded on a gypsy stage. A greeting:]
Admiral. It wasn't the balloons what were trouble so much as the barrage of cannonfire, but you've made your point.
[He can see that the pirate is not well. He can see it in the way that he moves, the way that he holds himself. He is not quite flouncing as one might otherwise expect. The admiral is not without humanity. In fact, he is quite relieved to see the man up and about so soon, but wonders, too, if perhaps he would be better off abed. None of this reaches his mouth. Sentiments. He was never very good at those.]

[ buffy is SEARCHING for the pirate. all around the village with a crumpled flyer in her hand, torn straight from the bar's front door. eventually, she'll find him by the river.
hmph. she advances upon the balloon-toting jack Sparrow and stands behind him -- rather close, at first her head practically bumps a balloon. the slayer simply leans down and holds the flyer out in front of jack's face. ]
[Nagisa's just walking around town when she notices Jack. ..Or rather, when she notices the balloons. Why does that pirate man have so many balloons? ...They're kind of hard to ignore. So bright and colorful and all.]
[Hmmmmmmm....is that young lass eyeing his balloonage? Is she hatching a plot to PILFER one? ALL? Jack warily limps on ahead of her. In his still-fairly-injured condition, he probably couldn't fight off a child.]
[Beware, Jack. Because now that young lass is following you so she can approach you on the matter. Well, that's half of the reason. A few of those papers fell out of the stack he's carrying and onto the ground, and so she wants to return those to him. ...And then probably ask what all of the balloons for.
But yes. Captain, you're being followed by a moeblob. What do.]
[Oh Lord, this one's near as bad as Kirimi. All winsome and inquisitive-looking and apparently on a mission to bollocks up his kitty-finding/wind-talking activities.
...Perhaps he can talk her into doing some laundry.]
Erm...might I help you, lass? You look as though there's somethin' on your mind.

[Jack does not DOES NOT DOES NOT like owing life debts, particularly to Kennedy.]

With a bit of grump, she snatched the paper back and took a seat next to him -- sliding into his line of sight.
