[Jack has been spending a great deal of time at House Seven, looking after Buffy. There are occasions though when he manages to slip off to Cullen House; he has to keep an eye on the place, after all, and is slowly but surely stocking up on necessary non-perishable supplies for the winter that he and Katie McCoy can share. You'd think after the month she had, this wouldn't hurt.
But Katara had been looking for Katie since they returned from the draft, and the girl had managed to avoid her while still letting her know that she was all right and now...
...now...

And while he doesn't completely understand it, it suddenly makes sense once he sees that mural. There's himself, and he thinks he sees Yorki. That little blue whale with a smiling face is undeniably Laboon, when he was a baby.
And Brook isn't sure what to say at first, and all that comes out is:] ...oh.

So long as she has someone, I suppose. Even if that has to be her cat. Licorice, I believe the name was.
[She had one - Licorice - that he remembers.]

Thanks for letting us know. [Vash is sad that he might not see his tiny friend again, but he's glad she's back with her family.] I'm glad she's safe now.

[But let's not talk about him and his lies.] I didn't know you were so close Katie. [As you must have seen something that told you she was gone rather than kidnapped.] I'm sorry.
