Is there anyone who is still reading over here? Sometimes I see my LJ and I miss the times when this was a big part of my life, but then I don't see much going on in the old communities.
I just feel so disconnected from a community I always loved. Sometimes I think... oh, I should put my Steter over here, but everyone here is on AO3, so um... what's the point. Ya know?
I know, but--at least for me--posting here, even if you curently don't have a story or book, shows that you are alive..... and its such my relief (and I bet you for other people too)that its DAMN WORTHWHILE.- :):):)
Arianna here, waving! There's still TS chat on Saturday afternoons. Sorry to hear you've had a rough year and a half or so. Hope you're doing well now.
I think we've all had a rough year and a half. I had no idea the TS chat was still active. I used to love those, but I could never get my computer to connect right. I am not a techie person
I'm still here, though most people have imported to Dreamwidth. My DW flist is longer, and more communities are active over there, though there are quite a few who cosspost from DW to LJ and I tend to read on DW because it's easier on my eyes.
Same with fic - I mostly read on AO3, because a lot of LJ and DW journals are just not readable, for me, even with style=mine.
I have a Dreamwidth account, but I never really set up over there. This was home, and I do miss the hey-day. There were some awesome Spander communities and Taming the Muse and all the award sites. Yep, those were the days.
I just whole-sale imported my LJ into DW, posts, comments, everything. The only thing that I couldn't import were my icons, but that was no big deal, it was fun to pick out new ones to go up.
I like crossposting, because then both journals are updated in real time, and people can reply wherever they feel most comfortable. Plus, it's easy-peasy! :D
