Okay, first, the story behind this. Over in
capslock_jak, Otana made
a post where she debunked a claim someone made about being able to fight Gol Acheron in Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. The person wasn't able/willing to offer any proof besides a (probably Photoshopped) screen cap of their mission progress.
I jokingly stepped in and claimed that it was true, you just needed "over 9,000 orbs." Then I offered my "proof": a "game script" of the alternate ending cut scene that would have presumably come before the final fight.
Sadly, to my knowledge, no such boss fight exists.

End Game
"Hear that?" The voice was soft and full of awe. "The core is in balance again." Eco sparkled in the sky above, fully capturing the attention of the three people flying in the Hellcat.
Balance. The one who watched them could not help but laugh. His voice was low and rasping, a harsh contrast to the distant ring of eco. The boy, the girl, and the orange rat with them all stiffened at the sound, and when their eyes snapped up to see him floating just above, he cackled again.
"It won't be in balance for long!"
The boy's eyes widened - well, perhaps he wasn't a boy anymore. But there was recognition in his eyes nonetheless. "You!"
So, too, did the eyes of his companions. The girl looked like she'd seen a ghost. "Gol Acheron?!"
"It can't be," came the rat's horrified protest. "You're supposed to be dead!"
"Oh yes," Gol agreed with a harsh, amiable laugh. "Locked in an eco silo of the very element I control! Tell me what good you thought that would do!"
Gritting his teeth, the blond man popped the hatch on their cabin. Jak. His name was Jak. Even after hundreds of years, Gol still remembered his name. "If you think I'm going to let you near the eco core..."
The laugh started low, then rose in pitch. "You're not going to let me do anything, Jak! You're not going to have a choice! After all these years and access to all that dark eco, I'm more powerful now than you could ever comprehend!"
"I'm not the same boy you fought in the past," Jak snapped back. Without hesitation, he climbed out of the ship.
"Jak, be careful!"
"Trust me, Keira," Jak murmured. "I know what I'm doing." The young man dropped into a fighting stance.
Gol laughed - laughed in the face of his foolish bravado. Reaching out both hands, he pulled at the eco in the air. Dark energy crackled at his fingertips. "No," he rasped. "You really, really don't."
