I'm slightly scared.

So lavvyan posted Destiny Revisited (Sheppard/McKay, Merlin/Arthur, PG13), quite possibly one of the best realised and most unlikely crossovers I've ever read, and I felt the need to beg permission to write a sort of prequel/missing scenes/how you broke my brain thing. lavvyan graciously allowed it and here it is- I only hope I do justice ( Read more... )

Thank you very, very much! That other generation intrigues me a lot on the show and it was amazing of Lavvyan to let me slot some of them into the AU :)

Well, you know they're a total clique. *EG* I was capslocking about Igraine about two minutes after reading the first one and not (just) because one of my secret AU ships is Elizabeth/Jack.

I love those boys! (even if I'm not into the Rodney/Merlin thing that much, and would like some kind of "Rodney meeting Merlin and they start to fight about which is the best, science or magic" XD but this was awesome! :D)

Hee, thanks! The Geoffrey relationship is a direct take from Lavvyan's fic - I don't know if I could have ever thought of that!

(HEE! Omg, which would win?! Or would John and Arthur decide to 'test' the theory and therefore the ensuing mayhem would make everybody forget the question? ... which was *of course* the plan.)

John's eyes narrowed and he allowed the left corner of his mouth to slide upwards in something that might soon approximate a smirk.

Arthur blinked before his mouth opened in an 'o', eyes lighting up not with the inner fire of magic or parasitic infection but of mischief.

"You don't think-" John started, pointing to Arthur and letting the sentence trail off.

"It would be entirely irresponsible," Arthur replied primly, hands fingering the hilt of his sword and ghost of a smile playing across his features.

"Yes-" Merlin interjected from the side, distracted from his deep and meaningful conversation with Rodney about Jedi powers and their influence on the public perception of telekinesis. "Whatever you're talking about, it really would be."

"But I *can* swim exceedingly well," Arthur continued, eyes still locked on John's.

"Me too!" John moved closer to Arthur, turning to Rodney. "Didn't I tell you we had loads in common ( ... )
