I may have snuck in here to read this after discovering that you have a talent for writing amusing things via your picspam!

I loved this ... even though I currently feel quite as tired as Tony, the voices felt right and it was like MY SHOW!! *covers you in sparkles*

Aw, thank you very much - and sparkles! They're only like, my favourite thing ever! ;-) After sleepy!Tony, that is.

I hope you are feeling much more revitalised now, and also, I hope you don't mind, I have friended you!

Wow awesomely awesome team fic. I loved the Gibbs/Tony interaction because in the show a moment like this was greatly missed. The team interaction was really IC, touching and entertaining!

Thank you so much, I'm glad the team interaction was entertaining for you! Sometimes, on the "big" episodes, the team interaction gets a little bit sidelined, which can be a shame. But it leaves room for fic!

I have just noticed that you are also a Jules, good name! ;-)

There are no words for how awesome this fic is! I honestly tend to shy away from Requiem fic because I get so tired of the Gibbs bashing & the poor woobie Tony who invariably ends up at Death's door. There *are* some great ones granted, but generally I'm not a fan

But this? This is perfect. You've got Gibbs saying 'thank you' - which ITA he should have said in the ep, teamy-goodness (all so very in character) & a perfect, perfect Tony. Yay!

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment - and I cannot tell you how relieved I am by it, too - because the thing is, I like nothing better than wallowing in a full-on, woobie!Tony, with buckets of hurt/comfort. And there is a lot of it following Requiem and a lot of it is a guilty pleasure - and I like my pleasures to come without guilt. There is awesome post-Requiem fic too, like you say, but I was really wary of writing this and falling into the trap!

But the thing is, I think Tony would be absolutely fine with Gibbs not saying anything at all - sure, it's nice to have him say thank you, but I wanted it to be without the push of Tony being morbidly ill, and I also wanted Tony to not actually have minded that much. He's always been okay with Gibbs not talking before!

Sorry to ramble on, but thank you for very helpful comments (that yes, flattered my ego, LOL, but really did help too) and also, as I sneaked over to your journal in the creepy way I always do to everyone who has hilarious icons, you have a very, very pretty horse!

Yes. This. I never understand why we have to get the guilt & the bashing in order to have the woobie. So often both characters come off badly - Gibbs for being a bastard & Tony for staying & taking it. Or else he turns into a saint. And that boy ain't no saint...

Oh yes, Tony would be fine with not hearing it, but it would have been nice to see Gibbs acknowledge it in some small gruff way (as here). Functional mute indeed.

My icon is plagerised from a fridge magnet, so I can't take credit, but feel free to creep anyway! Aw, thank you! My Rosie is sadly no longer with us, but she was a doll.

Yes! Saintly!Tony is a peeve of mine. And also, Requiem did give us that heroic Tony scene, for which I will be forever greatful, but it was also Gibbs' episode, and his epic man pain is petty damn epic. And we didn't see him say thank you, but I'm sure in some way he did. Maybe not with words (functional mute = my favouite line ever) but perhaps by letting Tony drive for the next week or so.

I'm so sorry! She was absolutely gorgeous, though. My horse is retired at the moment, and I hate going into the winter with him even though he does seem quite healthy and tough! :-)

Really liked this. This actually the first story I've read that follows Requiem and I have to agree - there should be more. I like your take on all of the characters. But your Tony and Gibbs feel right on target. I hope you keep writing them - as I think your characterization and style is great.

Thank you very much, I'm glad the characterisation isn't completely OOC! There are a fair number of post-Requiem fics out there, most of them listed on karababe_64's delicious tags here - there are over 20! Her entire recs list is ace if you're looking to become completely lost in NCIS fic for weeks on end! :-)

Just brilliant team interaction, and characterisation is spot on. Thanks a lot! Hope you'll write more team and Gibbs&DiNozzo friendship stories soon:)

And would you mind if I translate this fic into Russian, so my fellow Russian NCIS fans could read it too?

Thank you very much! I'm definitely hoping to work on more fic soon!

I would be very pleased and flattered if you translated this into Russian - would it be possible to get a link to wherever you do post it?

Thank you! :-)
