Wow Last Time I posted
was July!! I come back and read and comment but joined the legions of Facebook posters....Last year was good and bad. We lost some beloved critters. But derby was great and I even went to LA in September. I need to post pictures. This year is shaping up to be tough. I just spent $2200 on my poor dog to have a tumor removed. Cherry Bombs Win!!
I haven't been posting here as most of my pics are on the home computer. But hey! My team the Queen City Cherry Bombs won their first bout! We have played three so far and each time we played, we closed the gap on points. Our last bout was lost by three points. My league finally has created a B Team and two home teams!!! I am co-captain of the Seabrook Meltdowns!!! But now we are looking for logos! So if you are interested in submitting an idea, see the info below! The winner gets tickets to our bouts. Which isn't the best prize for people scattered around the country. Finally Teamed!!!!
We went through assessements for teaming for the two travel teams and two home teams. I actually got to be part of the process by giving my attendance stats for the league and was the person who assigned random numbers for skaters for blind teaming. And once that was done, I matched the names and numbers and was the first to see the new rosters!

Teaming is about to begin!!!
Starting last night, we are being assessed for our physical skills. The Teaming Committee observed our scrimmage and I feel I did fine. I actually thought more about strategy rather than just reacting to what was going on around me. I wish last Monday's scrimmage was included. The rest of the country is loving and lapping our politics up. Don't you know-Massachusetts is turning Republican! Yeah right. Mr Nude Guy (aka Captain McDangely as Jon Stewart called him) rode his slight victory (52 to 48%) based on the fact that most people aren't cool with the Health Care bill. My Bunny Fergus Died
He was diagnosed with early stages of kidney disease. So I thought we would have him around awhile. But last Wednesday night he started acting strange and on Christmas Eve he wasn't right at all. Thanks for putting me in touch with friends from my childhood. One, who I haven't seen since junior high, is living a life very similar to mine! Married, no kids, numerous feral cats and critters, vegetarian etc....I remember we ended our friendship over music. I was discovering punk rock and she was getting into Prince.
