Check out "Earth Hour". Across the globe tomorrow (3/28)cities and individuals are taking part by shutting off their lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30pm. The city of Boston is participating this year!

This is a really great idea and sentiment....anything as a show of solidarity in helping the planet is a good thing!

However, I would just be waaaay afraid of stupid people taking advantage of the dark. Hell, as soon as there's a blackout, people lose their minds and loot! How about we all keep at least a nightlight on for that hour? ;)

Again, I reiterate, though,....this is a good thing...so shut 'em if ya can!
