He's almost light-hearted (since shouting at his mother after getting drunk with the enemy of his family, a great many things do not seem so serious; and Mordred is home again

Cimorene's missing Kazul today. No particular reason, but it's making her restless. So she's taking a break from work to take a walk out on the grounds and clear her head. She sees him, at a distance, and waves; if nothing else, his reaction should indicate his state of mind.

He waves back, smiling, and comes towards her. "Lass!"
