Ok, so I just finished reading this entire thing straight through, and I am amazed! This is brilliant! I fully admit that I don't know much about deaf culture, but you seem to have handled the topic in a very even-handed way. Your characterization was great, too; you didn't try and force alternate personalities on them; you let them still be Chris and Zach, despite the AU aspect of the story. Basically, this was a wonderfully romantic but still realistic story that I have no doubt I will re-read.

I'm really happy to hear that you enjoyed this story! And I'm very glad that it seemed realistic and fair because I was a bit worried about that. Sometimes I'm not sure if I've strayed to far from fanon/canon personalities, so I really appreciate your comment! Thank you so much for reading and for your wonderful and generous comment!! <3

You're welcome! Like I said, I don't know much about deaf culture, but you seemed to try and treat the whole issue as fairly as possible. And you definitely stayed true to them personality-wise, too.

This is how I feel about this story:

THIS WAS A M A Z I N G!!! I totally teared up (again!) during the wedding ceremony, and I loved that it ended up with the same sign that they started with. This was beautifully written, well-crafted and believable, and I really liked the characterization of Zach and (perhaps especially) Chris. SO MUCH LOVE.

This is simply wonderful. You beautifully handled the relationship between a hearing impaired and hearing couple. You avoided stereotypes and cliches. The result is an endearing love story. Great job, BB! :D

I'm sleepy and unable to write the kind of comment this story deserves, but I just wanted to let you know that I loved it, because too many times when I plan on coming back to a story later and commenting on it, I forget. So, yeah. Loved it. <3

SO, so much love for this story! You took a prompt that was awesome in the first place and did it justice-- this whole thing was sweet and genuine, with some great characterization and believability. Specific to this part, I loved the image of Zach signing his vows-- sign language is such a beautiful act to me, and incorporating it with the wedding just made me swoon.

Thanks so much for sharing! <3

I'm so happy that you enjoyed this story and that it came across as being realistic and worthy of the original prompt! I love watching people sign and wish that I had been able to get into an ASL course when I was in college, but it was one of the most popular classes on campus and I kept getting waitlisted.

Thanks so much for reading and for your wonderful comment!
