I cannot tell you how angry it makes me for people to lambaste Studio 60 for being "not funny." It is able to be moving and romantic and dramatic while still being one of the funniest shows on television. Now, sure, the sketches from the show-within-the-show--those aren't funny. It's because (from what I've heard) Studio 60 is *smart*. That automatically makes it unfunny to 90% of America- and another 9% doesn't watch it/hasn't heard of it.

West Wing would've been the same way if stupid people didn't like making fun of the politics.
