It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Blue skies, the sun is shining and it is getting warm. according to my outside thermometer it is already almost 50 here. I would say about 3/4 of the snow is gone out of my yard. But that also means that my winter parking spot tends to get flooded and be muddy. send off
As John put it on Facebook, Melissa's funeral was an exuberant send off. Lots of Christian music with a band and a one of the church choirs. The pastor did scripture readings and then there were hand mikes taken into the congregation and people stood up and spoke on how Melissa enriched their lives. I was just thinking - if Matt Birk is no longer a Viking, that means Deb won't be able to take his family's photos. If I remember correctly they come in on a regular basis for family pictures. Maybe they will keep the house in St. Paul and she will still get the chance to photgraph him and the family. I don't get into football but I have heard him ( Read more... ) -
the larder is full again
Sorry son that it was slim pickin's at the house today. One of the things on the chore list was grocery shopping. The larder is now stocked and full again for a while. I now have several types of fruit here along with milk, yogurt, and salad fixings. Once again the fridge is full ( Read more... ) -

snow blower worked pretty good last night. But I pooped out halfway through the entrance way to the hwy. Got everything else done including neighbors front sidewalk and over by the mailboxes ( Read more... )
