As you may have read in Raph's journal, Mika is going to be a human teenager for this event. He's a little street thug fifteen year old and the leader of a street gang of older teens. Do you like what you do?

I, personally, sit in an office most days. Often I talk to prospective clients, and tell them what we can offer them. I make purchasing decisions.

It's not terribly exciting.

Then why bother mentioning it?

[watchmycannon]

You asked who I was. I went into detail, as in my experience 'and what does your company do' is a typical follow up question.

If you don't really love what you do then it doesn't really tell me much about you. Why do it if you don't like it? No wait, I've got this one.

[watchmycannon]

It was my father's business, and his father's before that. And while it is not riveting work, I don't dislike it--The people who work there by and large are people who have known me my entire life; they're as much my family as anyone. I like knowing that I can provide them a reliable place to work, somewhere that sees them as the people they are, and not just how much revenue they can generate.

[littlestsoldier]

There, that's a better answer.

Mm. Glad to have met your approval.

[finishes off his drink, swirling the glass around, watching the ice]

--Might I convince you to let me up for a moment? I'm more than willing to continue this, if you need, but I'd like something more to drink, first.

Oi, it's not approval. Approval isn't given that easily. And christ, what drink number are you on? Have some coffee or something.

[watchmycannon]

[Rolls his eyes]

If you let me up, I will be on drink number two. I don't think that's entirely unreasonable, seeing as this morning I found myself -- instead of in my board room -- in a cornfield in the middle of the country.

Only two? You've been in here a while though.

Eh...you too?

[watchmycannon]

I've not been drinking very fast, it's true. And yes, it sounds like there are many people who found themselves in similar situations, today.

[hesitates]

--In light of that, would you care for a drink, Michael?

[littlestsoldier]

Guess I really can't just chalk it up to some big hallucination brought on by the heat then...

In which case, yes. A drink would be awesome right about now.

If only we were so lucky.

[Makes a 'so let me up' gesture]
