Writer's Block: It's payday!
I would invest it wisely, live comfortably but sensibly off the earnings for the rest of my life, and never do a day's work that I did not consider to be worthwhile and rewarding.
But a million dollars isn't actually very much if you intend to live off it, so I couldn't go on a mad spending spree. I'd probably go visit a couple of interesting places ( Read more... ) -

I love storms. when its hot and sticky and it feels like the weather will never break, then the first fat drops of rain start falling slowly on the dry earth, and then its raining so hard you can't hear yourself think, and the thunder's hammering against the ground and the lightning's flickering across the sky.
